Can you have two servers with the same name in trusting domains?

We are an NT4 domain that is in process of migrating to a W2K3 environment and will be joining our parent company's domain as part of that process. To facilitate testing during our pilot migration phase, we will be virtualizing our file and ERP servers and putting them on the parent company's W2K3 domain, which has a trust with our current NT4 domain. The actual hardware servers will still be in production on the NT4 domain. Will this cause a duplicate name issue?Start Free Trial
