I have a Windows 2003 Domain with around 100 Desktops and Laptops with Windows XP and Windows Vista on it.
Alls well when the user is in the Domain and can access Internet Resources without any problems.
So now when a Laptop user decides that he needs to work from home and takes the Laptop to his place where he has a Broadband/Dialup connection with his own set of IP Addresses, he is unable to access the Internet.
To access Internet he has to remove his system from the Domain and add it to a dummy Workgroup and then all is well.
Then when he comes back he has to ask one of the Admins to get him back to the domain.
This was a good solution till we had 2 - 4 Laptop users. Now the numbers are rising by the day.
I understand it has something to do with the DNS ... but i know i am missing something.
What am I missing?
