Can't add a new server as an additionnal domain controller.

Hi,

After a server crash, I've rebuilt a server that used to be a domain controller on one of our regional offices.
The IP of this server is 192.168.3.8 and this office has the DHCP range of 192.168.3.X

Our HQ's PDC is 192.168.1.8 and is of course also a DNS Server.

192.168.3.* can see 192.168.1.* through Hardware VPN.

Here is what I've done.

Configured LAN Adapter to use DNS server 192.168.1.8 (my PDC)
Added the machine as a member server : worked.
Then rebooted
Then DCPromo and "Add an additionnal domain controller" option.
When I'm prompted to enter administrator credentials, I get this error :

"An Active Directory domain controller for the domain MyDomain could not be contacted.
It seems to be a DNS problem."

Here are the details :

The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain MyDomain.local:

The error was: "This operation returned because the timeout period expired."
(error code 0x000005B4 ERROR_TIMEOUT)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.MyDomain.local

The DNS servers used by this computer for name resolution are not responding. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses:

192.168.1.8

Verify that this computer is connected to the network, that these are the correct DNS server IP addresses, and that at least one of the DNS servers is running."

I've checked and I can ping 192.168.1.8 but when I try to ping some other servers by their hostnames, it doesn't work indeed...
I have not done this for a long time, so I think I maybe forgot to do something important.
