Computers falling off the domain

Asked by Lamont77 in Active Directory

We have been experiencing PC's not being able to get logged in. The error message is:

"Windows cannot connect to the Domain either becuase the DC is down (its not) or otherwize unavailable or because your computer account was not found"

We dont know the local admin password because naturally whoever set this up to begin with doesnt believe in documentation and didnt obvisouly have any natural intelligence!

The only thing we can see that is out of the ordinary is ... when we check the computer account of a problem PC there is no DNS information available ... its blank. On all other computer accounts there is DNS  info.

If you ping any of the problem computers by name from the DC it resolves and replies....
