I have an Active Directory server at DR site and needs to update in interval period(quarterly). Production server and DR server are at difference location and is not replicated each other. Any way to update the DR server without does a full restoration. TQ
why arent you replicating? the whole idea of a DR site is to repliate crucial data, and AD is built for this - why limit yourself - replicate your DC's!
As Jay Jay70 says, whats the point of having a dr ad server that is not replicating. Or, are you talking about replicating ad or replicating data from the production server? I would assume you already have secure connectivity between the production and dr site in which case you would just let ad replicate. Is this the case?
We created separate environment(without replication) with the purposes. Just to know there is another way to recover a dr server without do a fully restoration. If a fully restoration we do twice a year - regulatory party requirements.
