I am new to WHS - only got it running yesterday.
Last night I expected WHS to backup the only client PC that I have configured backups for.
This backup task ran OK manually yesterday.
But last night two things happened at about midnight:
1. A big bunch of Windows Updates got installed between 12:00 am and automatic reboot at 12:10 am
2. The client backup failed at 12:07 am
I assume the client backup failed due to a clash with the updates being installed?
Is there any way I can schedule installation of Windows updates so that there will not be a clash with the WHS client backups?
Regards,
Leigh

Yes you can go to Control panel, select automatic updates (in XP or Windows updates in vista) and schedule when the computer downloads and installs the Windows updates. You could easily schedule this for a time before or after your backups.
