Ohhhhhhhhh so I will be loading my baby up tonight with two 300gb drives and two 1.5 tb drives, if I don't use HW RAID, will WHS just duplicate me data. As I have alot of music, videos and recorded TV (data as well) that I don't want sitting on me PC. So I will use this like a NAS box. So if WHS does automaticlly duplicate the data it will make my life easier.
Cheers - oh one other thing. If I decide I like the WHS, say in 3 months time can I buy WHS OEM and just type in the activation code on the box - say like this one from ARIA - http://www.aria.co.uk/Prod

Stevey G,
It's possible but Microsoft does not recomment hardware RAID with WHS. Just leave the disks without RAID as WHS supports spanning with multiple disks with data protection. Will it work with HW RAID? Yes. MSFT technology puts data you select as "duplicated" data (backups, certain share areas, etc...) onto 2 different hard disks in the event of a failure.
