RPC oer HTTPS using Basic Authentiation help?

We're a hosted Blackbaud Client and in order to use their Outlook Intergration, we needed to set up RPC over HTTPS.

We did after much trial and error and it all works and it working great, however, it's set up to use NTLM Authentication when connecting to the Proxy in Outlook. They said that it needs to be Basic (which I don't understand why, since I can connect from a non-client PC).

It's a Single Server shop here, the Proxy is on the Exchange Server and we currently are using OWA also.

How can I get the RPC to use Basic Authentication and not NTLM so this darn thing can work. Currently, it works great with requiring the NTLM but they said it needs to be basic. I don't want my users to run into Security Certificate errors or warning when they use OWA that their passwords are being sent in Basic.
