WSUS 3.0 SP1 on Win 2008 - Clients "Not Yet Reported"

Asked by dataflowsys in Windows Server 2008, Microsoft IIS Web Server, Windows XP Operating System

Tags: Microsoft, Windows, 2008, WSUS 3.0 SP1

I currently have a Windows 2008 AD Domain.  I am attempting to roll out WSUS 3.0 with SP1.  I've setup the server portion properly, and on the client side deployed the GPO to assign the server as the update server.  However, on my lab test machine, it shows only as "not yet reported" for the one client machine.  So far, I have done the following:

-  Moved the lab machine to a separate, new OU and applied the GPO to the new OU.
-  Configured the GPO under "computer configuration" and not "user configuration"
-  Ran wuauclt.exe /detectnow on the client, with no results.
-  Allowed all updates to be installed.

What am I missing here folks, why does the client still show "not yet reported"?Start Free Trial
