User profiles location 2008

I have an install of windows 2008 the default location for a user profiel is c:\users\%username%

how can i change this?

To direct new user profiles to another location, the answer is you can't. Windows will create new profiles in C:\Users by default, and it is not supported to move that directory after Windows is installed.

You can either reinstall Windows Server using an unattended installation. This allows you to specify the default location for the Users folder and relocate it to another volume. Alternatively, consider using Roaming Profiles to store the profiles on another volume. You can then use http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274152 to remove the cached copies from C:\Users when users log off.
