Where are Windows Server 2008 Hotfixes stored in Registry?

I'm trying to locate where Windows Server 2008 stores it's hotfixes in the Registry. I've already tried HKEY Local Machine | Software | Microsoft | Updates..... but this doesn't seem to exist in Server 2008.

I thought that would be the location also, but the hotfix I'm looking for is not there.

From a Windows Server 2008 box I open the Control Panel | Programs and Features and then select Installed Updates. From here I see the following break down: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft System Center DPM Protection Agent and Microsoft Windows.  It appears the suggested regestry path does show some of these installations, but not for Microsoft Windows.

Specifically, I have the following hotfix installed (KB 953290) which does show up under the Microsoft Windows, but I can't locate it in the registry. Can anyone replicate this KB and locate it?

What if you look for one of these Id's under the uninstall directory:

{6CA6D931-5BDE-4760-A1AA-491A09CDD5BF}
{AF48931D-9D8E-40C1-AF5B-1F2C1FBA8D41}

Looking at the download page for that hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953290) it includes those Id's as their family ID for the x86 and x64 install links.

What if you run a PowerShell command to check if the hotfix is installed, see if you can locate that hotfix as having been installed.

Turns out I hit F5 put the kb number in and hit search. And what do you know, it found them. Sometimes it's the easiest things I over look :)

I don't think closing this question is the right thing to do. The answer I discovered I think does provide value to this forum. However, when I tried to choose my answer as the "Accept as Solution" it took me through the "close this question" sequence.
