Browse All TopicsHello, I'm in the process of migrating from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008. We have a domain login account that we have always used for many years here. After installing SBS 2008 and login into the server (which is virtual running on Xenserver) I always get the message "Your User Profile was not Loaded Correctly" and it loads a Temp profile which gets dumped as soon as you log off. I then installed a windows 2008 server standard to be our new BB server and when I log into this server it to gives the same profile error. I created a new domain login account and that has no problem logging in but I need to use our other login as it is the blackberry service account and backup exec service account. Could this be do to a group policy or folder redirection? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Wolfhere: Thanks for the comment but these are new servers so disk space isn't an issue.
1stITMAN: I have checked and there isn't any roaming profiles. Here are the event logs that come up when logging in.
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

Can anyone else confirm that if you try to login to a windows server 2008 box with a username that has the % sign in it that it loads a temp profile? I create two new accounts, both domain admin accounts and logged in. The one without the % sign in the username logged in fine and had a profile created, the other with the % in the username I got "Your User Profile was not Loaded Correctly".
I had the same issue with a user logging in for the first time to my new Windows 2008 Terminal Server. It creating a temp user profile for the user. I found that in the user's profile a "Terminal Serivce User Profile" is avaiable. I had a path to an older server at this located in the "Profile Path". I removed the entery, and was able to log the user on with a "Local" profile.

Check the AD Account does not have a roaming profile or terminal services profile that is causing the issue..
Login as that the user and post GPRESULT
