SBS 2008 RWW settings for display resolution
Any of you RWW experts run into this one?
We have a 2008 SBS Server and I have no problem logging in to RWW or TS-Gateway (to RDP to my PC), all certificates are in place. Both my laptop on the road and my desktop at the office run at 1920x1200 resolution (widescreen). The problem is, when I connect to my desktop PC, the screen resolution displayed (in full screen) is only 1600x1200 (standard).
How can I change the connection parameters when using RWW? How can I force this to use my full 1920x1200 resolution??? It's screwing my desktop icon arrangement up every time I connect and besides, I really like having the real estate. There's got to be a way to do this...
Thanks!

Does your desktop computer have two monitors by chance?

Yes, the primary screen (1) is running at 1920x1200 and the secondary (2) is running at 1280x1024...
take a look at this posting by Philip Elder, who is also an SBS MVP and a frequent contributor on EE.

Nope, gave it a shot (2 times) and no go... It still only displays at 1600x1200 (with black pars on eigher side), not the full 1920x1200...
Any other ideas?

I meant "black bars on either side"... Sorry...

Is there any way to connect to my desktop via RWW more directly (using Remote Desktop Client)? Then I could control the session more precisely... (ie. set the resolution).
Thanks!
Thanks!
You can RWW to the Server and connect to the desktop via TS through the SBS console.

Wouldn't that limit the display resolution to the server's native one? And also slow things down significantly?
really doesn't slow anything down.
Other that...there is no way to get to the unit directly that I'm familiar with

I had the exact same problem and for me the answer was to adjust my browser zoom level while at the RWW screen before you hit "Connect to a Computer." This happens because when you connect to a computer through RWW, the Remote Desktop session gets its resolution from the zoom level of your browser. Zoom in and out using "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -"
