Browse All TopicsHello,
I have just updated one of my three Domian Controllers to 2008 R2 because I wanted to take advantage of the new group policy items that included in 2008 R2.
When I open the group policy editor on the new DC and open an exisiting poicy or create a new policy I am not seeing the new 2008 R2 options. I was puzzled by this until I noticed that the GPO name is appended with the name of one of my old 2008 (non R2) domain controllers.
Does anyone know how I can deploy 2008 R2 GPO policies in my domain? Is there a way to change the focus of the Group Policy Editor so that it looks at the new policies on the 2008 R2 machine? Does this happen by transfering one of the FISMO roles to the new server?
Thanks,
Matt
