Source: LSASrv Event ID 40960 - The security system detected an authentication error for the server LDAP/Localhost. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request" (0xc000005e)"

A success message would be generated once the machine gets connected to teh domain controller and Group Policy has successfully processed. If yo udo not see a success message for several hours, then contact your administrator..
Need some help with this. Takes far too long to login and there is obvious a problem. This is the first DC in the forest and holds all FSMO roles. Not sure why it can't communicate with itself. Server is a Hyper V guest.

Event ID 40960
Explanation:
The Local Security Authority (LSA) cannot complete the task because an authentication error occurred.
User Action:
Use the error code in the message to determine the cause of the problem. For example, a STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVER error code (0xC000005e) indicates that the domain controller was temporarily unavailable. For information on other error codes, perform a search of the Knowledge Base at Product Support Services.

Did you configure the DNS on the DC to use 127.0.0.1 ? does it hold a DNS Role in the first place ?
do you have the Active Directory Domain Services Service Started in the Services Console
Sometimes similar issues happen on Windows 2008 After installed Service Pack 2, Did you try uninstalling the service pack 2 from the domain controller ? (although this is not recommended, but i faced a similar issue where the service pack caused all this pain)
Thanks!
