Fail to install DHCP in Windows Server 2008

Asked by Phoenix76 in Windows Server 2008

Hi,

When I try to add the DHCP role in WIndows Server 2008 Standard it fails saying "access denied" at the end of the installation. The role is installed, but in the mmc console there is nothing. When I try to add the server in the console, it shows up with servername.mshome.net, which is wrong. If I add server with 127.0.0.1 it shows up correctly, and the DHCP service is working. As soon as I close the console, the DHCP server stop, and I have to add the server 127.0.0.1 again.  For information all other services like AD and DNS is working correctly.
Seems very odd for me..Anyone with a suggestion? Thanks!
