awawada will take over the question
A) If you open AD Users and Computers from Administrative Tools, will the AD Users and Computers console crash? If no, then will it crash when we open it in MMC?

B) Does this happen to all the snap-ins or just some of the snap-ins?
When opening AD Users and Computers the MMC does not crash. MMC crash only happens when adding any new Snap-ins.

For instance if I would want to open the certificates snap-in, I would have to open in a different computer and save the snap-ins and brought it to the Win Server 2008 R2 and open the saved snap-ins. That way it won't crash.
Please send me a printscreen of the error, System and Application event log to donotreply@besonet.ch . dont post it here! Otherwise everybody will have a look on your logs.
can you try with some more snap-ins and le me know&? thanx

Hello,

I have the same problem, and i'm trying to follow your directions, but when i try to delete the MMC Keys from the problem workstation, i get the error: Cannot delete SnapIns: Error while deleting key.  There are about 40 keys that remain to delete, i do believe it did remove some keys.

I have rebooted... and made sure that the only application 'open' is the regedit exe.
Ok, i managed to follow a link online that after repeatedly assigning ownership to myself, and those keys under mmc/snapin, i managed to delete all keys...  (notice to everyone that tries it.. i had to do it many times, for some reason, it would either not work at all (changing the permission of the keys) or it would only work on a few.   I did this maybe 10 times to finally delete all keys.

I followed the directions above, registering the keys from a copy of a another 'working' and 'similar build' workstation, and it still crashes.  :-(
