Browse All TopicsHi All,
Please can someone help with a simple script to create reg keys and values on a set of remote computers?
I have a simple list of computer names that I want to pipe into a powershell script and then create a registry hive with three or four string values inside.
My input file will be in C:\work
The reg hive will be HKLM\SOFTWARE\MyCompany\Bu
Then the values will be:
build = 4.7.1
ScheduleAuto = 1
AutoReboot =1
MaintenanceDay = Friday
Any help appreciated :)
Coopz
I have no knowledge of powershell scripting.

There are no checks into this script, so it won't check if a machine is online and it won't check if the path HKLM\Software\Build exists. I'm assuming the path will exist on all of your machines as part of your SOE. You could check if a machine is online using a WMI (Win32_PingStatus) before attempting to run the script against a target.
