When I run http://connect to add the Windows 7 Professional client to the domain, I get the following error:
.............
Verify computer requirements - Unsuccessful.
Operating System Requirements
This computer does not meet the maximum operating system requirements for running client setup.
.............
I Googled the problem, but the only solution(s) I could find referred to Windows 7 BETA.
As a side note, I did what the BETA solution suggested and was indeed able to join a Windows 7 BETA PC to the SBS2008 domain, but the Server still fails to recognise a full retail version of Windows 7 Professional as a compatible operating system.
I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Full version.
As Windows 7 was only just released to the general public last week, perhaps the problem is too new for there to be any problems/solutions posted yet?
Anyway, I contacted Microsoft, who had no idea what I was talking about (they thought the problem pertained to the workstation not having high enough specs - RAM, HDD, etc.). However, I assured them that it was more than enough and I had similar PCs with Vista Ultimate 64-bit and XP Professional that joined to the SBS2008 domain without any difficulty. In fact, this same workstation had previously been joined to the SBS2008 domain using Vista Ultimate prior to a reformat and clean installation of Windows 7 Professional. This, of course, was too hard for the Tech Support people at Microsoft, who then suggested that I talk to one of their $300-per-instance "experts".
It appears that the connect wizard for SBS2008 does not recognise Windows 7 as a compatible operating system.
I have fully patched and updated SSB2008 with every update I could find.
I found a mention of SBS2008 Update Rollup 3 (KB969121), that gives Windows 7 recognition to SBS2008, but I could not find it amongst the Windows Updates. Nor could I find a direct download link for it so that I could install it manually.
Can anyone please assist me in this matter?

RE: http://support.microsoft.c
I must be going blind. i couldn't find a link to maually request or download KB969121. The only link I could find led me to Microsoft Update (http://update.microsoft.c
There used to be a page on Microsoft for administrators to choose and download Windows Updates manually. Does that still exist?
