How do I use Server 2008 r2 GPO Drive Maps feature

I can get Group Policy to work for everything but the Drive Maps feature under preferences in group policy.  When I run the Group Policy Modeling to test, it shows this error;

Component Name Status
Group Policy Infrastructure Success
Group Policy Drive Maps Failed
Group Policy Drive Maps failed due to the error listed below and failed to log resultant set of policy information.

Additional information may have been logged. Review the application event log on the domain controller on which the simulation was run for events between 4/15/2010 11:07:46 AM and 4/15/2010 11:07:46 AM.

Registry Success

I then look in the event log and it has this error under Event 8196, Group Policy Drive Maps;
The client-side extension caught the unhandled exception '0x00000000C0000005' inside: 'threadEntry : client main' See trace file for more details.

The online help link is worthless and shows nothing.  My environment is a controlled lab on vmware with the following machines on their own vlan;
Server 2008 R2 Domain Controller
Server 2003 R2 file server (Sharing out a couple folders is all)
Win XP Pro

All OS's have the latest updates, including the group policy one for XP that is optional.  These are all new builds with no other software on them.  I can not find anything online to help me with this issue.  I have made 4-5 different Group Policy settings that have worked with the XP machine, then took most of them back out.  I am stuck her eand have spent several hours trying to get this setting to work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent, the screen shot did it.  I just assumed teh hide/show drive would just show it by default when no change was selected.  I clicked the show drive and the drive letters popped right up.  Thanks for your help.
