show only IE Icon in desktop (Group Policy srv 2008)

hi ,
i want to force the domain users that don`t see any desktop icons exept Internet explorer.

i suggested  that to config this group policy configuration, but it doesn`t work:
user configuration > administravie template > control panel > desktop

You can do this via login script (vbs) using a reg key

or via GPO

"User Configuration/Windows Settings/Internet Explorer Maintenance/URLs".
Double click "Favorites and Links".
Select "Favorites" and click "Add URL". Name it whatever you would like and type file:\\\C:\Documents and Settings\All UsersDesktop into to the URL: field.
Select OK and you're finished

Are you sure that you get my qustion?
i checked your answer but it didn't change my desktop.
Let me see if I got it right this time :)

For other useful Desktop GPOs
GPO -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Desktop

Are your desktop clients XP or Win7...if Win7 some policies may not apply
Folder Redirection settings are located in User Configuration-> Windows Settings -> Folder Redirections
