Still Cannot Extend disk in Windows 2008 R2
See the related question. I removed all the data from the D drive and deleted the partition, but I still cannot extend the C drive. What am I doing wrong?

How do I tell what kind partition
if you right click on the partition what are the options?
also, does it show a partition of free space - with no drive letter? - this would be the old D drive

Can I convert the disk to a dynamic disk? It currently has 3 partitions, one of which is the boot volume.
