can't create folders on file server

i have a user who has full access to folders that are shared from a file server and recently that user is unable to create a new folder within the shares. this was not an issue before.

other users can still create folders, but this one user cant. rebooting and updating the user pc and server did not help.

please advise.

Check if you have Quota Management enabled on the drive the share sits on, it's possible the user has reached his/her quota.

It's a share that everyone uses
Can the user copy folders to the share? Check to see if there are invalid characters being put in the folder name.
the user can copy folders in but cannot create any. even just clicking new folder or right click and new folder is not a possibility for them.
even just clicking new folder or right click and new folder is not a possibility for them.

Do you mean the option isn't available or they're getting an error when trying..? If the options aren't visible then it may be a corrupt registry or if they get an error what's the error?

Can they create folders on their local drive or on other shared drives? Is there another share on the Server / SAN where they can't create folders and if so can they create folders on it.

Please provide some more information about the environment.
looks like it is local pc registry issue. the user cannot create folders on the local machine either. what should i check?
