Install Win Server 2008 R2 on DL160 G8

Hi Experts!  I have an HP DL160 G8 server that I would like to install Windows 2008 R2 on.  I am booting it up into the HP wizard and selecting all of the options necessary for Windows 2008 R2 install while using an ISO image off a USB thumb-drive.  The server didn't have a DVD drive so I had to use a USB thumb-drive.

The install seems to be progressing but after a few minutes, I see a command prompt and a message box stating that the key couldn't be found.  The wizard never asked me for a serial key.  I restart the server to see if the install will continue but I just receive the black screen with white writing that the OS didn't install properly.

So what am I missing?  When working with the DL380, I would just use the smart start and install the Windows 2008 R2 OS with the same OS burnt to a DVD from the ISO.

Thanks for the replies!

@andyalder, after being an HP supporter for the last 10 years, I can't believe what a step back this server is.  While most of my experience has been with the DL360 series, I'm disappointed in HP.

I'm trying to figure out now how to roll back to the previous version (1.5)
Here is the link to download all of the HP intelligent Provisioning versions

HP Provisioning Software

I will close this thread and award points/grade as soon as I give this a try.
Greetings Experts.  I was able to start the server install once I rolled back the provisioning software.  From there, I tried to use the iso from the beginning but ran into errors which prompted blowing away that iso and copying it back to the thumb-drive.  Because the issue ended up being two parts, I split the points.  I hope this is understandable as I couldn't have made it without both solutions and I greatly appreciate your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Aaron
