Exchange migration mail delivery problem (2003 SBS to 2010)
I'm in the process of moving mail from an old 2003 SBS box to a new server running 2008 R2 & Exchange 2010 sp3
I was able to move a few mailboxes with the "new local move request" option in Exch2010 but a few were erroring out because the mailboxes were corrupt.
So I went to one user's PC and exported everything to a PST, I then deleted the mailbox from Exch2003, purged it and created a new mailbox on the Exch2010 server and imported the pst. All seemed to be going well I was able to email the address of the user internally (logged into my mail account through owa on the Exch2010 server), and externally.
However when other users in the office try to email this user through their outlook clients, they receive the following bounce back,
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: subject
Sent: 30/07/2014 2:37 PM
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
User Name (Domain Name) on 30/07/2014 2:37 PM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I've logged onto owa on both 2003 and 2010 servers and successfully sent test internal messages from user accounts that were having issues emailing the newly moved user and these were successful. So it seems that the outlook client's are trying to send email to the old server where the mailbox no longer exists instead of sending it to the new mailbox on the new server.
Is there anyway I can force the clients to send to the new server instead of the old?
