asked on

create a 3rd windows admin and hope sql server will authenticate

godaddy windows server 2008 rdp with no control pannel

I am creating another administrator user in case current server crashes and I can not log in

SqlServer 2005 seems to work with 2 logins.
I think it uses windows authentication.

What changes should I make to ensure that sql server works with 3rd (newly created) login

It won't since SQL Server has its own login security area. You shouldn't guess as to what the login type is you should KNOW one way is using the Sql Server Management Studio and looking at the server

in management studio login user 'j3' is listed

so if user 'j3' is deleted or disabled, will sqlserver not work?
the server will work but you won't be able to login to the server.. The websites that use SQL Server may be using a local username to login and execute. The settings will normally be in the sites web.config.  if you look in the services you will see what account the sql server uses to start.

Why are you not using your own system to recreate what you have done and see the effects?
