Migrating from SBS 2003 to 2012 Standard

If I migrate from SBS 2003 to 2012 Standard and add the 2012 Server to the existing Domain and transfer the FSMO, does the new 2012 have to have a different server name than the 2003 SBS Server or not. Prefer not then I would not need to make any changes to the workstation drive mappings.

Yes, the new 2012 server will in fact need a different name. You will receive an error stating that a computer account with that name already exists and wont be able to join the server to the domain until renaming.

thx. Do you have some examples of your solution using CNAMe records. And does sbsmigration provoide a set by step guide for their migration kits.
CNAME records are CNAME records. Nothing fancy or unique about them. And yes, sbsmigration kits include full documentation and support.
