DFS, moving it off of DC to member server

Environ: Server 2008 STD Domain with four DCs.

The primary DC, the FSMO role holder, has the DFS service running on it for sysvol replication and that's fine.  However, what happened here was that someone loaded up the DFS Mgt Console on a PC, attached to the DC and started setting up namespaces on the DC, piggy-backing, if you will, off of the DFS service supporting the sysvol replication.  So, even though the role isn't installed on the DC, the namespaces are there.

Our namespace is \\domainname.com\corporate share and appears to be working fine.

Now we want to upgrade all four DCs to 2012 R2 and I want to get DFS off of the DC.  I want to properly install the DFS role on a member server and have my namespaces served off of those servers rather than my domain controllers.  Spinning up two member servers and adding the role I can handle.  It's the moving of the current namespace infrastructure to the new servers that I'm not certain about.

How do I move the current namespace structure on my DC to the new member server?  It's perfectly ok to rebuild it all as we only have about 30 shares in there, but I was hoping for a way to just move it from the DC to the two new member servers.

Is that doable?

Thanks

Cliff
