First of all thank you for you comment.
I tried this, but it doesn't seem to solve the problem.
Something I forgot to say in my problem description : I don't have this for all directories, only on particular ones.
One little question though : is it normal that when I reenter regedit that it opens where I did the last change ?

Did you install any shell extension that might cause this error? Check the registry entries in 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell ex\Context MenuHandle rs', i assume the culprit can be found there... The quickest 'test' IMHO would be to rename the key, e.g. 'shellex.0' (or better: The CLSIDs of the handlers entered there), restart the shell and see what's happening (CAVEAT - as ever: backup your registry before manually changing the settings ;-)
