Thanks for thinking along, but this doesn't solve the problem. This IS the computer that is connected directly to the internet, and is also the one where Win2000 pro is installed.
In Windows 98, you used to be able to disconnect the web server from the network card that had the internet connection , but I can't seem to find that in Win2K. I can still do this for other services, like file/printer sharing, but not for the web server.
I'm still hoping for a solutions without additional software.

You may need to add a proxy server to do this.
Is your local LAN using NAT ? If it is then the IIS should not be able to be accessed from the internet if it is not connected directly to the internet.
You may need to setup a seperate computer for this or use proxy server or a firewall type application.
