How to tell where network packets are going?

Tonight I came home and noticed that my machine was sending out about 30K bytes a sec.. and receiving about 500 bytes in the same frame. It looks like some handshaking was going on.

Absolutely everything I know of (IIS, FTP, SQL, PC Anywhere, etc) was off at the time and I have NO idea what could be sending out that info.

so, I'm wanting to know if there is a way to figure out what was sending it and where. I'm kind of concerned that somebody has access to my box, via a trojan or something similar. I'm behind a firewall, but it's one of those tabletop Linksys cable modem router things so there isn't much that can be done there.
