Browse All TopicsI have just put a fresh install of WinME on one of my boxes. However, the network connection seems to stop responding on that box for no apparent reason. I will be in the middle of a game or something and *paf* it just stops.. webpages wont load, telnet, ping, etc.. all don't work.. The machine isn't frozen, but the network wont respond.
I tried to use winipcfg to refresh the IP and winipcfg just locks up..
Under 98 this machine didn't do this. I know its not my network connection as I have several other machines going out through the same hub.. it must be something with ME.. Any one have any ideas or solutions?

1. Check NIC compatibility with ME.
2. Change cable.
3. If using DHCP, try static IP rather than dynamic.
4. Roll back to 98.
