I am building a new NT domain with plans to upgrade to W2K/AD in the next 8-12 months! &nbsp;I am trying to figure out the best naming convention for the domain. &nbsp;Should I use a 15 char. NetBios name or a FQDN. &nbsp;Our W2K DNS Servers will act only as a internal DNS servers forwarding all external requests to our BIND DNS servers. &nbsp;With that in mind does naming it with a FQDN (ex...xyz.company.com) really matter?<br />

Windows 2000 is an operating system for use on both client and server computers.
