Your going to run into problems installing win 2000 AFTER XP..
I did it and couldnt get XP to load. No matter what I tried. ALthought I could still start Win2k.
Microsoft says ALWAYS install the earlier version FIRST then move on. Of course I didnt read that until after I screwed myself =(
So what I had to do was uninstall XP and then reinstall it.
I know thats probably not what you wanted to hear. But, Well thats what I had to do.

It won't do it automatically but it presents you with options one of which is to install. And yes you can choose which partition to install it on.

Not sure what you are asking. Only having the retore CD could make doing this a bit tricky. It is better of have XP setup the dual boot loader because it is a bit better then the one that comes with Win2000. Generally speaking you need to do what is a Repair on the XP installation after you install Win2000. This is done by doing the following
