how can I connect to win 2k without username and password

hi
I have simple question.We have a local network with windows2000 workstations and shared printers .When I wont to use a printer windows show me a window "connect as" and "password". After  typig username and pass i have access to printer ,but i don`t wont
evry day typing username and password .Can you tell me what to do?

I am presuming you are not in a Domain.

Put your username and password in the local user manager of the machine the printer is attached too.

You can run lusrmgr.msc to do this.

To use Printers and Shares without using username/password just activate the Guest account on the computer that shares the printer and give the guest account full control of the shared printer.

When the guest account is enabled without password, Windows will not ask you for user/pass when trying to accesss shared resources.

yes our network use workgroup
We already try with attaching a user and password

Is the Username and password identical?  If not it will throw a wobbley.

they are not  identical

make sure they are identical and you should be ok.

For example.

JoeB on CompA with a password of bloggs will need a user account on the PC connected to the printer with a the name of JoeB and password of bloggs.
