Here is a little script you can run that would set up an HP LaserJet2100 that is shared in the directory as "PRINTER" on server "SERVER". You can use a notepad editor and save as a ".vbs" file.
ork") erConnecti on PrinterPath, PrinterDriver er "\\SERVER\PRINTER"
Set WshNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Netw
PrinterPath = "\\SERVER\PRINTER"
PrinterDriver = "HP LaserJet 2100 Series PCL 6"
WshNetwork.AddWindowsPrint
WshNetwork.SetDefaultPrint
This script will work with any printer driver in Active Directory. It sets the printer as the default printer (last line...you can comment that out if you don't want that).
If your driver has a different name (meaning its a different driver) just replace the name with the full name of the driver (which you can get from the properties of the driver.
Good Luck!
