hello i'm docey from holland and i got a bit of a problem.
i have 3 computer running windows 2000 SP 4.
we have a loca area network. 100mbit.
we where bored of all these new games and decided to grab the old original redalert 1 out of the shelf and install, oops, windows 95 game. after finding a very genius way of getting redalert 1 to work on windows 2000 with lan i installed it on all tree computers but then disaster strikes!!
on my brother's computer windows got some directory wrong. you see, redalert 1 is an old dos game, it uses IPX/SPX, normaly i would do start => config => network and dial-up connections => local area connection => install => protocol => add !?!?! this is where it goes wrong it ends with and error that there are now devices found in the folder. normaly this is where you would select IPX/SPX and netBEUI and stuff. but when i look in /winnt/inf there are devices i even found the inf of IPX/SPX. so i thought i install it by inf. wrong it does nothing. so what do i do now, i tried adding the inf folder to the system PATH, but nothing.
how do i install IPX/SPX now?? now i can also not install any other net devices!
any body got an idea?
