our IT manager says he used ldif and created vb script . the problem is the security we have on the ad wont add users without the password.

Browse All TopicsI didnt know where to post this, so I thought I would put it here. I want to copy/move my active directory users from one network to another. I have 2 networks (military) that cannot touch. Both will have the same users. Any suggestions?

You will not be able to decrypt the passwords and export them to a file (that would be a critical security issue!)
What you may want to do is create a database of users in something that is comfortable for you (say MSACCESS), set up passwords, etc.
Then export this database into both networks.
Set policies so that users cannot change passwords.
Generate passwords every few weeks/days/months.
Distribute the passwords.
That's the procedure used in networks where you have windows, unix, and novell coexisting and they want to have a unique password for them all.
