WIN2K Add/Remove Program Error - cannot find Ctor.dll

Hi,

I am currently running WIN2k on my laptop. I was doing some routine cleaning of old programs and came across this error when trying to remove some of them(using Add/Remove Programs).

RunDLL

Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\engine\6\INTEL3~1\Ctor.dll

The Specified module could not be found.

This message box has popped up when I tried to remove my wireless client utility and also when I tried to remove an old version of the Java Run time environment.

I googled Ctor.dll and everything I find says that it is a piece of spyware for the Hotbar tool bar. I do not have this toolbar on IE and I have run a full adaware scan and also a full virusscan and I come up clean. Has anyone else seen this problem before. I am trying to solve it because I need to update my wireless client utility and cannot remove the old one, I would also like to remove the old JRE but that is less of a pressing problem.
