Were pretty sure. we have about a dozen new computers who didnt have the problem until we installed the software package. Can anyone confirm if the "shut down the system" policy is where i should be looking?
Thanks

Browse All TopicsI have a new software application and when I installed it users lost the right to log off or reboot.
When logged on as an administrator or power user log off and reboot works fine so it appears to be a right issue.
I found when I went into local security policy settings and User rights assignments then into the "Shut down the system" policy. The everyone group was not checked off under local policy setting it was checked off under effective policy setting. When i checked that off regular users were able to log off and reboot.
The problem is that the setting doesnt appear to stick and gets over written and i have the same problems.
Is there some other place i should be looking or is there a simple fix someone can tell me?
Thanks

You sure the software did it? That's odd.
I'd check your group policies on the server...
