I host a few different sites on my windows 2000 webserver and would like to grant FTP access to a friendly, but only to a designated existing virtual directory. How can I limit this user to only this virtual directory.

I am in the middle of trying this aswell.. What I did was to create a virtual directory under the main FTP root. Then I created an user account in my windows 2003 server. When I login using that new username and password , it takes me directly to that virtual directory under FTP root.
Example.. I create "test" folder under "FTP root" where "test" folder is the virtual directory.
I have 2 user accounts ,one is administrator and other is "test"
I go to ftp:\\test.com (which is my ftp site).. If i login as administrator , it would take me to FTP root folder and when I login using "test" useraccount , it would take me directly to "test" folder.
I would advise you to take a look at this article to take care of security issues that might arise if you had NOT set any options correctly
