Question

FIles and Shortcuts re-appear every time I delete them and then reboot

Every time I reboot my win2k pro, everything I delete from quick launch, desktop, and startup reappears. I have run all the spyware programs, I have an updated AntiVirus, etc. Anyone have any ideas? I removed AdAware as it was suspect in the beginning.  Will up points if neccessary.

Check the folders
c:\documents and settings\default user\
c:\documents and settings\all users\
Check the subfolders desktop, start menu, "Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\"

This problem has been resolved. The issue was my roaming profile seemed to never get updated so I kept getting my icons back. I have since changed my profile to local and cleaned everything up.
Thank you craylord for your effort, however, as you can see, your answer was unrelated. If I can, I can give you some points for the effort if there is a way to reduce the points.
