Best memory testing tool
I need a reliable memory (RAM) testing tool. My OS is Win 2000 SP 5.
I sometimes get "The memory could not bre read" errors. My system is quite stable and all the installed apps work properly. I just want to verify whether these errors are resulting from a bad RAM (I think it is unlikely, but still ... )
Can you suggest some from personal experiences ?

The link for ultimate boot cd looks like a windfall gift to me !!!
Thanks ..
That link has a Linux CD .. but it does point to a Windows version CD.
You seem to know about good tools. Do you know about a good tool for Hard Disk Data Recovery in case of hard disk crashes ?
(I am willing to give separate points for this one)

Hard Disk Data Recovery software is rarely free.
One such piece of software I have for when I accidently delete files is Active@ Undelete ( www.active-undelete.com )
The great advantage of this program its its explorer style interface for ease of use and COMPLETE recovery of partitions and file systems - even over a network.
I have successfully used this program between my laptop and PC and it works very well indeed. Try the demo version (which will only allow files up to 64kb to be recovered i think) and see what you think.

but surely on the "shadowy" sites of the net, some of the tools must be available for "free" .. u know what I mean .. :)

Rajesh_Khater - all software is "free" from the shadowy sites, but in the process of installing a cracked version of a program, they might of added some more "extras" that you might not know about. This is commonplace for computer game cheats to steal CD-Keys for online play.

Thats not a worry for me. I plan to use such "free" software only on my secondary development machine .. which even if it does crash or gets hacked, does not bother me !!
Guys, I need one more tool which I have asked at:
