Windows 2000 missing partition?! How to recover data?

I have a RAID5 array (hardware), which is fully functioning and all disks are fine. It’s a Windows 2000 SP4. Today when I rebooted the machine, I got this inconsistency error on boot, and that I should run chckdsk, and so I let chkdsk run. When I came back to check the machine. I noticed that the partition the system was reporting on has vanished. The partition is there, but its name vanished. I click on it and it says drive not ready. The partition is still in blue (basic), and shows 1117GB out of 1117GB its like its empty!?!? Any ideas? How can I recover the data? Where did it go?

Thanks Arshana! Here the latest update! Since it was a production server, I didnt want to reboot the machine after the chkdsk. Yesterday I drove to our datacenter, and rebooted the server. When it came up, the partition and all its data was there.... go figure. So I guess problem is solved!

I will check that software though. Thanks.

start>program>computer management>disk management

or u r recover ur data from using
