Master Browser issues in a Windows 2000 Workgroup

I have a client with a workgroup network. They have no server. The operating systems are Windows 2000, and XP Professional. I'm seeing hundreds of election errors on every machine similar to:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MRxSmb
Event ID: 8003
Computer: K-dodge
Description: The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer usedcars1 that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{2C8996AB-A7DD-4AF7. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

I'm also seeing:

Event Type:      Warning
Event Source:      MRxSmb
Event Category:      None
Event ID:      8005
Date:            10/27/2005
Time:            12:31:53 PM
User:            N/A
Computer:      K-DODGE
Description:
The browser has received a server announcement indicating that the computer K-DODGE is a master browser, but this computer is not a master browser.

I tried editing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters IsDomainMaster key to False so the K-DODGE machine would not attempt to be a master browser, but I'm still seeing the issues. How can I take control of the Master Browser elections and specify one or two reliable computers as the master browsers for this workgroup? What are the standard solutions for situations like this? Andy any other ideas would be appreciated.

Give me a day or so to look into the links and see if this works. If so, I'll award the points to you. I already did pretty much the same thing on three or four of the systems I was seeing a lot in the error logs, except the document I found said to change it from AUTO to NO. I'd do it sooner, but I won't be back to that client site to check the logs for a couple of days. I may try to remote in, but I don't have the systems I made changes to setup for remote, and the system I do have setup for remote is in a different workgroup, so I don't know if I can remotly view the log files using MMC... due to firewall settings, workgroup settings, etc. If I can, I'll get back to you sooner.
