berfore you downgrade, did you tried the compatibility feature for the application?
Try with the Win95 compatibility mode. MOst time you can execute older apps with this function

How to downgrade from W2k SP4 to SP2?
I'm developping an app in Visual C++ that talks to the parallel port and I need to install a driver (port95nt.exe) that won't execute under SP4 on my main machine but will under my W2k Server machine with SP2. I have seen another case of a software that needed to downgrade from SP4 to SP2 to be able to use the serial port. Is this hard to do?....downgrade from SP4 to SP2? Thanks.

If you can't uninstall SP4, I'd try an in-place upgrade (see http://support.microsoft.c
If you didn't archive your files when you did the SP updates, you can't automatically make the downgrade. And unfortunately, without a comprehensive list of upgraded files, you're not going to be able to replace them
Do you recall if you answered "Yes" to archiving the data files when you installed the new Service Pack(s)?

Hi pigeonbr,
the servicepacks should be in your add removive programs list, however i woud advice against as your are rolling back a looot of security patches
