Browse All TopicsI just configurded my Windows 2003 server standard edition to be the authortative time server for my domain. The server is the domain controller and it also has a backup domain controller. I recently just posted a question at.
http://www.experts-exchang
The domain controller looks like it is now the authortative time source for the domain. My main domain controller reports that in the event log:
The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source time.windows.com (ntp.m|0x1|10.1.1.9:123->2
Great ok really good, But............
Still, my member servers are now getting the following error message:
Event 29
The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 30 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.
Event 47
Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from manually configured peer time.windows.com,0x1 after 8 attempts to contact it. This peer will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new peer with this DNS name.
How can I fix this?
