In short, here is the story.
Upgraded my mobo:
1 - install new mobo drivers into existing windows OS
2 - tear down hardware
3 - install new mobo, hook it all up.
4 - boot. Install all nforce4 stuff into windows.
System ran great. Got dumb idea Shocked
1 - Installed 2 more sata-II / 400gb drives.
2 - Enabled RAID in bios, and selected these 2 new drives.
3 - booted to nvraid bios, and set RAID-0 stripe set.
4 - dumbass moment - bios prompts to 'clear drive data'... said YES, assuming this would ONLY impact the stripe set.
5 - computer boots, BSOD to "inaccessable boot disk"
SO...
I boot a slipstreamed OS including the mobo SATA drivers. Both with raid OFF and RAID on. It does NOT detect the windows installation...
Which brings me to the ultimate question... How do I recover the MFT / MBR or whatever was zero-ed by the RAID software? I have access to tools like Hiren's boot CD 9. which has a ton of partition / disk tools... the "partition" and files still seem to be there when I scan... I just don't know what to do to get it all bootable!
Please help.
Many thanks, in advance!
