Hi, I am looking for some help or pointers on getting a remote networked PC booting by PXE etc, and automatically running CHKDSK /F on the local C: drive anf rebooting. At the minute we are having to go to PCs with BSODs and perform chkdsk using bootCDs etc.
I am toying about with Tftpd32 and NTFS Dos using the Tftpd32 and sending the bootloader file of NTFS Dos as and img file. This works as far as loading up into NTFS Dos and gives me the A:\ prompt.
It sets the CD drive to C:
and the local disk to D:
But when I go to run chkdsk D: /f manually (for now) it says
"Cannot CHKDSK a network drive"
I have no idea where to go from here and would really appreciate some help on this or an alternitive solution to recovering from BSOD PCs without phyically visiting them (all remote sites)
Thanks Guys
