Windows cannot load the user's profile.

Dear Experts,

I have a problem with windows 2000 where while logging in windows will give the following error:

Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system.

DETAIL- The system cannot find the file specified.

Here is what I could find in the eventvwr.

Source of event: Userenv
Category of event: none
Event-ID: 1000
Date: 3-3-2008
Time: 13:41:12
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: S-203-PC
Comment:
Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system.

DETAIL- The system cannot find the file specified.

Also, under the Documents and Settings, there has appeared a folder called SYSTEM which I have not seen before and belive should not be there.
